SK Gaming captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo has admitted on Twitter that the team's results at the WESG World Finals are "unacceptable".
The 26-year-old's tweet came in the aftermath of SK's 16-11 defeat against BIG, which eliminated the Brazilian team from the tournament after they had lost to Russia earlier in the group stage.
The early exit in China is the latest blow in what has so far been a disappointing year for SK, who have failed to impress since their semi-final run at the Major, where they fielded João "felps" Vasconcellos as a stand-in.
The Brazilians finished third to Liquid and Cloud9 at cs_summit 2, and then 5th-8th at StarSeries Season 4 and 7th-8th at IEM Katowice before travelling to Haikou, where they could not even get past the first group stage.
"Nothing to say, embarrassed by us," Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo wrote on Twitter. "We are really putting in the effort, but the results are unacceptable."
While at IEM Katowice, Marcelo "coldzera" David revealed in an interview with HLTV.org that some of the players were dealing with "personal problems" but stated that he hoped that the team would be "in a good place" for WESG, which he had described as "the best tournament" and one his team wanted to win during the ELEAGUE Major.
SK, who won just two of their first eight matches in ESL Pro League, will make their next LAN appearance at the $250,000 DreamHack Masters Marseille, which will run from April 18-22.
